# Connecting Facebook

> Link your Facebook account and pages to Boosterberg

Connect your Facebook account to enable automated post promotion across your Facebook and Instagram pages.

## Prerequisites

Before connecting, ensure you have:

* Admin access to the Facebook pages you want to manage
* An active Facebook Ad Account with payment method configured
* Admin or advertiser permissions on Facebook Business Manager (if applicable)

## Connection process

  <Step title="Navigate to integrations">
    Go to **Settings** > **Integrations** in your Boosterberg dashboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Connect Facebook">
    Click the **Connect Facebook Account** button.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Log in to Facebook">
    You'll be redirected to Facebook. Log in with the account that has admin access to your pages.

    <Warning>
      Make sure you're logging in with the correct Facebook account that manages your business pages.
    </Warning>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Grant permissions">
    Boosterberg requests the following permissions:

    * **Manage Pages**: View and manage your Facebook pages
    * **Manage Ads**: Create and manage ad campaigns
    * **Read Insights**: Access page and post analytics
    * **Create Ads**: Promote posts through Meta's Marketing API

    Click **Continue** to grant these permissions.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select pages">
    Choose which Facebook pages you want to connect to Boosterberg.

    <Note>
      You can connect multiple pages and add or remove them later.
    </Note>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose ad account">
    Select the Facebook Ad Account to use for promoting posts. This is where Meta will bill your ad spend.
  </Step>

<Check>
  Your Facebook account is now connected! You can start creating campaigns.
</Check>

## Managing connected pages

### Add more pages

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to integrations">
    Navigate to **Settings** > **Integrations**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Manage Pages">
    Under your connected Facebook account, click **Manage Pages**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select additional pages">
    Choose new pages to add and click **Save**.
  </Step>

### Remove pages

To disconnect a page:

1. Go to **Settings** > **Integrations**
2. Click **Manage Pages**
3. Uncheck pages you want to remove
4. Click **Save**

  Removing a page will pause all active campaigns for that page.

## Reconnecting your account

If your connection expires or permissions change:

1. Go to **Settings** > **Integrations**
2. Click **Reconnect** next to your Facebook account
3. Log in and re-grant permissions

## Switching Facebook accounts

To connect a different Facebook account:

    Go to **Settings** > **Integrations** and click **Disconnect** next to your Facebook account.

  <Step title="Connect new account">
    Click **Connect Facebook Account** and log in with the new account.
  </Step>

<Note>
  Disconnecting will pause all active campaigns. Make sure to reconnect quickly to avoid disruption.
</Note>

## Troubleshooting

  <Accordion title="I don't see my pages">
    **Possible causes:**

    * You don't have admin access to the pages
    * Pages are not published
    * You logged in with the wrong Facebook account

    **Solution:** Verify your page roles in Facebook Page Settings and try reconnecting.

  <Accordion title="Permission errors">
    **Possible causes:**

    * You denied required permissions
    * Your Facebook account has restrictions

    **Solution:** Disconnect and reconnect, making sure to grant all requested permissions.

  <Accordion title="Ad account not available">
    **Possible causes:**

    * No payment method configured
    * You don't have admin/advertiser access
    * Ad account is disabled

    **Solution:** Check your Facebook Ads Manager settings and ensure your ad account is active with a valid payment method.

  <Accordion title="Connection keeps expiring">
    **Possible causes:**

    * Facebook security settings
    * Password changes
    * Two-factor authentication issues

    **Solution:** Enable "Keep me logged in" when reconnecting and ensure your Facebook account security settings allow third-party apps.

## Security and permissions

### What Boosterberg can access

* Page posts and insights
* Ad account for creating boosted posts
* Basic page information

### What Boosterberg cannot access

* Personal Facebook profile information
* Private messages
* Friends list
* Personal posts

  You can review and revoke Boosterberg's permissions anytime from Facebook Settings > Business Integrations.
